Una coproducción de la CND Compañía Nacional de Danza y FIALV 2018 Festival Internacional de Artes Vivas de Loja.

‘Una lectura íntima de una escritura particular: la obra de Pablo Palacio (1906-1947). El autor lojano enaltece lo humano y atenta contra lo establecido; insinúa que la realidad podría ser otra. Persevera en describir lo colectivo como empoderamiento de lo humano, tanto en la capacidad de transformar cómo de destruir. Comprende las miserias humanas en situaciones incontinentes pero particulares. Sus personajes viven al borde de un abismo, ni heroicos ni románticos, exaltan de lo doméstico y lo salvaje, entre deseo y acción. Palacio, de múltiples aristas, no contempla la dualidad desde la simple unicidad de las cosas, lo valora desde una caótica comunión. En esta puesta en escena, los bailarines prestan su alma y voz para escribir una poesía visual onírica y simbólica, tan veraz y cruda como la obra de Palacio.

Palacio is still one of the most valuable representatives of the Latin American avant-garde. He was a writer who lived always outside the established. He was an eternal rebel who never gave in to his thoughts, the essayists and critics never forgave him that stubbornness. His contemporaries totally marginalized him because he did not fit into the system, and he, too, did not want to fit in there. He was an "illegible" writer according to tradition, who, in his totalitarian face, tries to homogenise everything, denying those who do not enter into its logic. That is why they marginalized Palacio, who came to question the very bases of the literary canon of his time.
